Having served as an adjunct professor, department and division-level supervisor, associate vice president, special assistant to a college president, and vice president for administrative services at two large public colleges, I’ve experienced firsthand the complex and evolving challenges facing higher education.

Annual operating budgets—typically built on spreadsheets, whiteboards, and “what-if” scenarios—were frequently finalized as rolled-forward documents, with minimal input from the unit and department managers responsible for implementation.
